    To start us off:
    WOULD YOU RATHER
Be 15 minutes late to everything, or be an hour early to everything?

Aand, I can’t think of anything right now.

1- Hour early. I am afraid of being even the tiniest bit late for things.

    3- Uhh… dunno those people… please don’t shoot me…

Swallow a scorpion (with non-deadly poison) or a hive of bees (not in the hive itself but all the bees)?

    Paaaiiiinn…

  • 6. potatochip42  |  March 22, 2008 at 7:53 pm

    1- Early… with a book.
    3- I really want to see RHPS, but I haven’t yet, so I can’t answer…
5- Eek. I think the scorpion.

Would you rather not be able to understand music or lose the ability to read?

    Reply
  • 7. Fortune Cell  |  March 22, 2008 at 7:55 pm

5- I think one would die from all the bee stings….
well, maybe the bees if I got to drink a LOT of water at the same time. If not, then the scorpion. OM NOM NOM.

I’d rather be able to read. As much as a I love music, reading is more useful.

6 – I would have to say I would rather not be able to understand music. Music gives me infinite enjoyment, but it’s not really who I am. I think without the ability to read (or understand literature, if that’s what you mean) I would go insane and kill myself from a general lack of purpose.

  • 12. glasseh (DEATH)  |  March 22, 2008 at 11:55 pm

Yeah…then I have no idea…Music is, in fact, really a part of me now… It helps when I’m sad or whatever…but if I couldn’t read I couldn’t read books, or go on iChat, or anything. x_x

I would rather be an hour early.

I’m severely allergic to bees, so I guess I would have to go with the scorpion…but I also have Crohn’s Disease which inflames your digestive tract. Hmm….

I would rather not be able to understand music. This was extremely difficult, being that I am a serious pianist, etc., but reading is better.

Would you rather lose both arms or both legs?

    Reply
  • 14. Lizzie  |  March 23, 2008 at 6:15 am

    1 – an hour early.
3- no idea who either of those people are.
5 – scorpion, definitely, especially if it were dead.
6- I would really really hate to ever make that choice. If I lost the ability to read, would I be able to regain it?
13 – both legs. who needs to walk?

    Reply
  • 15. Lady Montague  |  March 23, 2008 at 6:55 am

13 – Both legs. Without my arms I couldn’t type, feed myself, hold a book, carry things from one room to another, or get ready in the morning. My legs don’t have much purpose other than to carry me from one place to another, and moving is severely overrated.

  • 16. glasseh (DEATH)  |  March 23, 2008 at 6:57 am

13- Legs… Flute, typing, and more that I’m too lazy to mention.
    And probably the bees…
Probably an hour early, preferably with my computer.

3– Zohmygod. That’s…hard…in terms of sexiness, Franky.
    5– Ouch. The scorpion.
6– Not understand music, cos I can’t in the first place!
    13– That’s difficult. I appreciate my limbs <.<

Lose all of your friends or solve all of the world’s problems? (Neither of which are probably going to happen…)

    Reply
  • 18. Lady Montague  |  March 23, 2008 at 11:24 am

17 – I believe you need to rephrase the question. I think you mean “solve all of the world’s problems and lose all of your friends, or keep the world’s problems and keep your friends”. To that question, I would say I would rather solve all of the world problems, because my lack of friends would be one of the world’s problems and consequently I would get my friends back.

The age old question: Blind or deaf?

1- an hour early. If I got a book
3- never heard of them. so, no. *social retard*
5- the scorpion. I have too much respect for bees
6- I’d rather lose music than lose reading. Though I’m with glassy on this one.
13- I’d rather lose my legs than my arms. Can I keep all my limbs? Please? I like being able to run…
17-Solve all the world’s problems. If all the problems are solved, I’ll get my friends back, right?
18- I’d rather be deaf than blind. I’d still be able to read.

You and your friend are in a room. One of you has do die for the other to get out. Would you die for your friend or would you leave your friend?

    My answer- I’d die.

    17 – world’s problems.
18 – My first impulse is to say blind, since I wouldn’t be able to stand not being able to hear music, but I could still read books in braille and stuff. However, upon thinking it over, I think deaf would be easier to live.
20 – heh, goodbye, my friend, I’m leaving you.

live in the world of Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings?

    Reply
  • 23. Lady Montague  |  March 23, 2008 at 1:50 pm

20 – It depends on the friend. And, honestly, if they were going to know that I left them to die I would probably stay behind and let them live. But if there was some way that they would know they were going to die but not know that I caused it, I would definitely go that route. Okay, maybe not, I don’t know. It also depends on what kind of death it is.

22 – (response to 18) That was my first impulse as well, but I really don’t think I could stand not being able to take pictures.
(responding to question) I’m not the hugest fan of LotR, but Middle Earth is pretty danged cool.

    18- Deaf.
20- Most likely leave, but it depends on the friend, and what the friend wants.
22- Harry Potter. I’ve read The Hobbit, but not the rest of LoTR, and I didn’t really like it that much.

Deaf, Harry Potter. I like the LOTR books better, but I would rather live in Harry Potter world.

I would also rather save all the world’s problems. No friends for me, but then the world would be free of problems and everyone else would have friends, etc. A good trade, I think.

6- Oh the horror. It hurts me to think of it… I couldn’t live without either. Maybe get text-to-speech software so I could still be online? I have to assume tone-deaf means no more playing music, and I can’t live without that. So, reading? But no, I can’t… I’d want to kill myself either way, I think.

13- My left arm and one leg, maybe. I couldn’t march without legs. But I couldn’t play an instrument without arms. In conclusion, I like having all my limbs.

18- Blind, but see my reply to 6- reading and music are all I use hearing and seeing for that I really care about.

22- LOTR was boring. Harry Potter had a self-inconsistent feeling at times. Can I go live in some other world? Or stay in this one? Harry Potter’s lesser of the two evils, though.

20- Of course I’d die. Nobody is that selfish. I’m not that attached to life, anyway.

My rationalization is that if I leave my friend to die, I would be so emotionally torn up that I would eventually kill myself. (I could have saved them, I could have saved them, I should have saved them etc. forever.) If I save my friend then they can have a long and pointless party celebrating my short and pointless life and my brief burst of glory in saving my friend. And it’s all good. I think…
