    – I actually did not kill anyone/myself at the music fest yesterday, when I saw my ex and his whore, and when I was trapped in a little room with thousands of skanky emo children for over twelve hours <.<
    – My ex was not a jerk to me yesterday, when I was so close to being a complete asshole to him
    – I wasn’t
    – I got I’m a Lebowski, You’re a Lebowski: Life, The Big Lebowski, and What-Have-You for my birthday
    – I also got a wine-flavoured Black and Mild for my birthday, as well as a giant batch of heavenly hummus, more money to Barnes and Noble, a non-suicidal iPod, and a ticket to Avenue Q
    – Thus my birthday was not actually tragic, unlike so many other years
    – People seem to like me
    – I’m (hopefully) getting combat boots on Wednesday
    – I got to go to tech on Thursday for the first time in three weeks, and subsequently spent seven hours at the auditorium :D
    – “The Set Up (You Need This)” is my new favourite song everrrr
    – It is possible that I’m going back to Costa Rica for spring break
    – I’m halfway to my blackbelt, at least in Jeet Kune Do
    – I have discovered Bad Religion
    – I was almost stranded in Grand Rapids last night (Grand Rapids is probably the most unexciting place in the world to be stranded, but it’s still getting stranded)
    – I got an A for the first semester of ATYP, so I’ve gotten credit for one full year of 11th grade Honor’s English with the grade of an A

-Finally got to wear my Sex Pistols hoodie and got numerous compliments on how I looked, including one from M. Twice.
-Getting to go work in the library for English and do silent debates. Things that happened (not necessarily good, but if not nice, then funny)
    1) M said he wanted to work with me right away, and we sat down at a table and friend, A (also known as Tr, possibly. idk. but I’m kind of annoyed at her cus she was a bitch to my circle of friends last night [which she's in]) sat down with us and was like “hi” so we’re like “hi”
but then she’s all “I’m working with M!”, despite the fact we were obviously sitting together, and he is is like “No. I’m working with Julia.”
and then she made a sad face and he stuck his tongue out at her and she had to work with H who is funny but really awkward and self-centered, in a funny way. But still. Ha. Pwned, bitch.
    2) Silent debates was fun
    3) J came over to our table (you may vaguely remember him as the guy who insists we’re cousins and comes onto me a lot. think he might have a gf….well, he went with someone’s younger sister to winter ball. whatever. tangenting) and that was kind of entertaining. Anyways, after the period ended I was leaning over on the table and J was like “wowza!” or something equally dumb in regards to my ass but that was just funny. Then he hit it, which was also funny but annoying. And also, I sound like a really terrible writer right now. forgive me! Then he asked if M and I were going out which was kind of weird and then M and I walked to the snack store where we parted ways.

    okay, other random stuff:
    - People keep doing double takes at my balloon wall and I find this VASTLY ENTERTAINING. I am considering making an entire thread for it, but that would kind of be an abuse of power and stuff and fishing for compliments, but it is awesome.
    - I did not get punished for accidentally skipping math class Thursday
    - I got the Juno soundtrack! Most of it anyways, in our rad file-sharing party. of awesome!
    - I have been watching V for Vendetta. FUCKING AWESOME.
    - I got to have a nice bitch-fest with my friends at dinner last night about A
    - okay, so people keep doing double-takes when they pass my room (and balloon wall. it’s funny!)

12– You should totally post pictures of your balloon wall on Facebook, at least. Because I’m desperate to see it.

    – School is a lot more tolerable now that I have an iPod that is not suicidal
    – Had a snow day yesterday, went out to breakfast, danced around to The Knack
    – Ran into a chair yesterday while dancing (or rather rolling) across the floor, that was HIGHLY entertaining
    – (Smaller less violent almost-dating) Mike and David like to mention how cute I am, which, as painful as it is for me to admit, is flattering and makes me feel all fuzzy and want to hide somewhere because I’ve spent my whole life trying to prove to people that I’m NOT JUST A CUTE LITTLE GIRL (even though I am little) but they actually know me and like me and are friends with me so it’s all good
    – Did not get to see (other bigger more violent) Mike before English today :( but…
    – Had lunch with (smaller less violent almost-dating) Mike because he abducted me outside of the library because he got to go to second lunch because of an EFA field trip thingie! :D :D :D :D :D
    – (Smaller less violent almost-dating) Mike isn’t dying as much as he was before (a few of you who were on AIM on Sunday night know of this), and he’s more or less cutting down on smoking, which is better than getting worse

i just had an amazing weekend…

-everybody was totally ready to hang out, i didn’t even have to force people to

-movies abounded at andy and hewitt’s houses, and dan and bill had videogames :D

-i had an amazing pillow bf to hang out with

-it was perfect weather most of the time (60 and windy)

-we had both friday and monday off

-as we were walking to dan’s house one night at around 8:30, it started to rain and we ran out into the middle of the road and started dancing around in the rain. which sounds like a bit of a dull story but you really had to be there. i love rain. and wind. :P

-we went to montrose and climbed all over things and slipped around in the mud like we were small chilluns again. being a small child is fun, even for an hour

Miiiiight have a snow day tomorrow. Six inches tonight, down to three? *prays*

*I’ve skipped class so many times to go to Advanced Photography that the teacher knows me by name and is going to try to get me into the class next year. And she loves me. But I don’t have to do the work in my English class. Or my math class. So I’m not really missing much.

Also, I’ve been “strongly recommended” for the EFE, so I’m almost definitely getting in next year. And I can test out of AP U.S. history and instead take AP world history next year. And I’m writing an awesome thesis paper about Kurt Cobain’s death.

    cincy was AMAZING

we had to get up early, but not obscenely. i got there around 7 and there were a couple people waiting. johnson was late, came around 7:10. we loaded up the bus and left around 7:35. the flutes brought bagels with them from panera so we got free breakfast, which was good because i hadn’t eaten :D it was a charter bus so it was uber-comfy seats and tvs and stuff. for some odd reason though, people decided to watch elf, so andy and i watched tenacious d pick of destiny on his ipod instead.

when we got there we went right to the university of and had our rehearsal. it was ok, the guy spent a ton of time on tuning but it wasn’t too horribly exhausting.

we went to kentucky for lunch! the easton-y place across the river. we went to johnny rockets and then to coldstone and then we went to the aquarium, which was awesome! they had the sweet tunnels where it was all water around you. i just started spinning around through there, and i stopped fell, really dizzy, and i saw andy and david exchanging “the look” (the “she’s on drugs” look if anyone cares to know) and i was like “whaaat?” which was apparently hilariously funny. we also sat in the bubble windows (the ones that said “CAUTION: Do not sit” but hey, it was sweet) and watched the guys try to beat each other at the shark jaw thing (you had to push a fake shark’s jaw closed and it told you how much weight you’d pushed. i got a little over a hundred… :D yeah ok i’m weak) it was funny, hewitt and andy and devin just kept going, like one would get slightly stronger and one of the others would be like “ok let me try again” kind of pathetic, but fun to watch.

and we petted the sharks and saw the penguins and the gigantic turtles. XD

we ate at montgomery inn, which was fantastic but i wasn’t really hungry because we ate at like 4 so i just had a bit of salmon. great food though

then on the way back i borrowed cheese’s DS and andy and yeti and i played BS and then i played tetris and we watched some more tenacious d and listened to music. :P then we got back right as the middle school musical was about to start so andy and i spontaneously decided to go. it wasn’t bad for middle school. it was bye bye birdie and the kid who played conrad actually made a pretty decent elvis.

the end. and then today we all went to devin’s and played rock band. we still couldn’t get andy to sing though.

oh, we also had our 20′s party in english! there were a lot of feathers in people’s hair…i kept finding more in math, i’d just be holding my head and i’d be like “wait…another feather” i ended up with about eight of them in my pocket and gave another two or three away…

there were cakes and cookies too, and we all learned the charleston. ruhi and lauren had a dance-off. ruhi is the funniest kid EVER. he’s completely neutral and/or apathetic about everything, it’s great.

so life’s pretty good. also fedner and i are planning a partay tomorrow (yes, a partay, not a party. a party with an(other) a). we were going to do it tonight but we decided not to, but i told her that andy was having dinner with the kids from israel and she was like “there are kids from israel? are they hot? have him bring them along, hot israeli makeouts!” i was like “fedner you are my hero” anyway, it’s gonna be pretty sweet i guess, once we actually figure out what we’re doing and where (and when and with who)

    we have

    so

    much

    snow

a snow party is definitely in order. going to andy’s and watching anchorman is also a possibility, since that’s what we were going to do on the bus to contest before it was canceled (it was an hour away! freaking crazy)

i didn’t get grounded yesterday either…i’ve been getting home late lately (not late at night, just later than i said i would be) and mom was being all pissy about it, so she was like “if i say 10:30 no later than 10:30 or you can’t go anywhere! rar!” i made some attempt at arguing since it was a fucking FRIDAY but finally i was just like “fine i’m leaving bye”. then we went to devin’s and played rock band (what else do we do these days?) and after making andy sing ballroom blitz (bwahaha) he picked up my phone which apparently had been buzzing and was like “missed call…” i look up at the clock and grab my phone and i’m like “holy shit bye!” it was about 10:40 plus. i jumped the fence across from devin’s (usually i go all the way around but there was no time for that) and ran the entire way home. then i had to act like i wasn’t breathing hard when i came in because i was supposed to get a ride.

but i made it home by around 10:45 and still didn’t get grounded!

also i got juno on my ipod and watched it yay

also also, i left my sweatshirt there (i just ran), and i was scared because it’s the one devin’s been stealing and wearing all the time (???) so i thought i’d have to argue for it back, but andy picked it up.

I don’t have any hockey this weekend. At all. Not sure if this is good or bad actually.

I slept till 10 today, and there was nowhere I had to be by 12, as there has been every saturday since… well fall season started around august but there were clinics before then too and over the summer and spring season started about 2 weeks after fall ended last year, whereas now it’s not until almost May.

But now I am at a loss as to what to do with myself. It’s only 3:00 and already I am stumped (I have homework but no way am I taking that out). If I weren’t a friendless antisocial I would go out or something but I’m to lazy.

So my mom forced me to go to the tutoring at the library today, and I felt like I wanted to throw up and kept procrastinating, but I eventually had to go anyway. My mom believes anything I don’t want to do will look wonderful on a resume. Seriously, I would’ve rather done anything than go to the library and tutor, mainly because I wasn’t convinced I would be any help at all since I generally have trouble communicating with people who aren’t intelligent enough to figure out their own homework. Anyway, I went there and it turns out there’s no tutoring (do not ask me why the crap my mom thought there was) so I got out of it and nevernevernever have to do it.

56 – Yeah, I usually babysit in the yuppy neighborhood down the road. I earn about $9 an hour, which is pretty much incredible for the amount of work I do. But I really do babysit a lot, even if it is just on the weekend. Today I’m babysitting from 3:45 – 12:00, tomorrow from 11:00 – 3:00 and then from 6:00 – 9:00. So that’s like fourteen hours, just in two days. I usually work about five hours Friday and five hours Saturday. It’s schamazing.

Babysitting is win. I only earn $7 an hour because my neighbors aren’t uber rich, but I babysit for long periods of time (like 5 hours, maybe?) and a lot. My one neighbor/client (haha) keeps recommending me to all of these people she knows so… yay! and of course they all have more than one kid which means more money! whoo! And normally I only work on weekends, but if I have to, I can work on weekdays too. Oh and it was sooo funny because my family was recently recognized as new members of the church we belong to and we had to greet people on their way out and two families asked me if I babysat… So I’m expecting a call from them eventually… :D

    65– Indeed.

    But ZOMG.

Every day for the past few weeks, I’ve gotten passes to go the EFE for advanced photography instead of English, since I’m taking the EFE next year and I don’t actually have to do the work in English. I’ve gotten to mess with Photoshop and observe in the darkrooom and stuff, cos I have a few friends in that class as well. Being that I’m there every day and that I don’t have to be anywhere else, the teacher is going to let me start doing assignments for the class and signing out cameras and developing film and using the darkroom and stuff, even though I am technically not in her class, and am a freshman. Even taking the class next year is weird, cos it’s usually only juniors and seniors who can take EFEs. I might get credit for it too, if I do well enough.

    hehe. I is excited :D :D :D

My parents are trying not to be assholes. They seem to have difficulty with that, but at least they’re trying. Dad ungrounded me today and let me go to community day at the park and hang out with friends/Kristen. Probably one of the best days of my life.

There are 14 days until CTY for 3 weeks and after that there are only 8 weeks until boarding school and it will be awesome. That is a total of 70 days left with my parents. Yesss.

78- This time it basically went as follows:
    1. Asked if I could go to the park on Saturday. Said no, didn’t give a good reason.
    2. Argued because there was no legitimate reason why I couldn’t go.
    3. Grounded for arguing, now there’s a reason!
They later cited mosquitoes as a reason why I couldn’t go. Yeah, like I can’t deal with that, it’s called bug spray, and I’m not the only one who could get bitten anyway. (There ended up not being any.)
Fortunately they do occasionally listen to logic so it worked out anyway. :)

They also decide that I’m being “ignorant” when I don’t agree with them or don’t do something the same way they do, or something of the like. Then it is time for the Inigo Montoya accent. “You keep using that word; I don’t think it means what you think it means.”

My parents and I…have been getting along lately. It’s weird. My mom pointed out that I was not grumpy in the least last weekend when I was working on my chemistry review for 14+ hours, and on top of that had to spend time with my relatives (which I despise). It was shocking to realise. My mom and I also managed to go shopping without getting into an argument.

In other news, it is finally summer! It feels good :)

Hey there ex-on-good-terms buddy! I broke up with my ex a week or so before school ended but we ended up talking a lot like a week and a half ago and keeping up contact and stuff.
He’s spent the last week and a half in a tree with his rifle and cell phone. Now he has internet, though…

Wait, in a tree? With a rifle? wtf

But anyways, that’s good. I hate it when a couple breaks up and are immidate enimies. Like every Middle School couple I know.

Oh shit, I just realized next year I’m going to be a freshmen. So not ready for this.

We haven’t really been keeping in contact but I talked to her a couple times on the phone and I saw her on the last day of school, and it wasn’t really awkward or anything.

On the subject of life rocking: I have money for pole-climber combat boots now. So getting. I’ve missed wearing combat boots since mine broke in like, April.

-I will see friends from home on Friday (hi tetra and penguini!)
-Only 4 more days of academic work (including SAT IIs, but whatevs)
    -Birthday this Saturday!
-I am most likely attending the Berklee Percussion Festival for MARIMBA. Screw that “total percussion” shit.
-After that, CTY Princeton, where I will find some way to see ROOZYKINS despite ridiculous regulations (sigh).

There is more but you don’t care so I’m going to go write my paper in order to enjoy the beautiful New England summer weather. :D

In less than 2 weeks I’m leaving to go sail on a tall ship all summer, which has basically been my dream life for as long as I can remember. Except we aren’t plundering on the high seas, we’re just sailing around the great lakes. But what the hell, it’s close enough.
And that also means I get to see a bunch of my friends from last year, and it means I get to finally see Phil again, which makes me super happy.

And today I went tubing down the creek with my parents, which is a lot more fun than it sounds.
